Job summary

Flagship Therapy in Davenport, FL is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant for our post-acute and rehab program. You will join an in-house therapy team focused on geriatric patient recovery and quality care.

As an OTA, you will screen, evaluate, and implement rehabilitative interventions, collaborate with the care team, and contribute to discharge planning and family counseling. OTA license required; new grads welcomed.

Qualifications

• OTA license required.
• Open to COTAs at all experience levels; New grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders or wound care; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary interventions.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT – FULL TIME – DAVENPORT POST-ACUTE AND REHAB – DAVENPORT, FL

Our expanding network of in-house therapy Ensign-affiliate operated healthcare facilities is growing, and we are scouting for excellent therapists to join us at Davenport Post-Acute and Rehab in Davenport, FL. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking dedicated Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• Open to COTAs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
