Job summary

Blue Stone Therapy in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver skilled OT services to adult and geriatric patients in a SNF and post-acute rehab setting, under supervision of a licensed OT.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current OT license or eligibility in applicable state.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Cedar Rapids, IA

Blue Stone Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide rehabilitation services to adult and geriatric patients at Stoney Point Meadows, Cedar Rapids, IA.

This role focuses on delivering skilled occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in a skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation setting. The Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement treatment plans designed to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, strength, cognition, and overall independence.

What You'll Do

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatment in accordance with established plans of care
• Implement individualized treatment programs focused on functional and measurable outcomes
• Treat adult and geriatric patients in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting and rehabilitation settings
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress with the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation to support quality care and reimbursement standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and facility staff to support positive patient outcomes

Requirements
