Job summary

MedQuest Health Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with Occupational Therapists to provide therapy and support for patients, following established plans of care and assisting with adaptive devices and space maintenance.

The ideal candidate has strong time management, customer service skills, and knowledge of occupational therapy guidelines. Good communication and collaboration with the OT will be essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in good standing.
• Experience in an occupational therapy setting is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow all plans of care for patients.
• Assist patients with using adaptive equipment and modified exercises.
• Support OT with exercises, communication, and care coordination.
• Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials.
• Attend care plan meetings and provide input on patient plans.
• Document patient progress and changes accurately.

Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will be working closely with Occupational Therapists to provide therapy and support for our patients. You will be following plans of care previously laid out, assisting your patients with using adaptive devices, and maintaining all therapy spaces and equipment. The ideal candidate has strong time management skills, excellent customer service skills, and knowledge of occupational therapy guidelines and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow all plans of care and therapy laid out for patients under your care
• Assist patients with using adaptive equipment, modified exercises, and learning basic life skills
• Assist Occupational Therapists with exercises, communication, and care coordination as needed
• Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials used on a daily basis
• Attend care plans for patients, provide input, and go over patient care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes

Qualifications

• Current state licensing for occupational therapy assistance required
• Previous experience working in an occupational therapy setting desired
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
