Job summary

Maplewood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Amesbury, MA, is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. We provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a premier nursing facility with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current MA COTA license (or eligibility).
• NBCOT certification required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation preferred, not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the OT.
• Provide direct therapy services to residents in accordance with established goals.
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT.
• Assist with patient evaluations and discharge planning.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and safety.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members.
