Job summary

Beaver Dam Health Care Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist Aide to join our team in Beaver Dam, WI. The role focuses on treating and documenting care for residents under supervision, helping them regain independence with a friendly, professional environment.

Responsibilities include following physician orders, assisting with treatments, maintaining records, and cooperating with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common medical information.
• Ability to effectively communicate with residents, their families and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Follow physicians’ orders for resident care and directions from the occupational therapist.
• Provide treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest possible function.
• Provide adaptive equipment and preventative measures to prevent decline in function.
• Maintain timely and accurate resident reports as required by regulatory agencies and payers.
• Observe infection control procedures and ensure resident safety.
• Collaborate with residents, representatives, staff, physicians and service providers.
