Job summary

Watertown Health Care Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist Aide to join our compassionate team in Watertown, WI. The role focuses on treating and documenting care for residents under the supervision of an occupational therapist, within a supportive interdisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities include following physicians’ orders, providing therapeutic interventions, and maintaining accurate resident records while upholding infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common medical information.
• Ability to communicate with residents, families and other healthcare professionals; present information to supervisor.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Follow physicians’ orders for resident care and directions from the occupational therapist.
• Provide treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function.
• Provide adaptive equipment and preventative measures to prevent decline in residents’ function.
• Maintain timely and accurate resident reports as required by regulators and payers.
• Observe infection control procedures and resident safety.
• Collaborate with residents, families, facility staff and other professionals.
