Job summary

Soliant is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our elementary school team. You will evaluate students, develop IEP-based goals, and provide direct therapy to individuals and small groups in the school setting.

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support progress, implement accommodations, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings and professional development. NBCOT certification is preferred and school experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility).
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• Experience in a school setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy goals as part of students’ IEPs (Individualized Education Programs).
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students individually and in small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, physical therapists, school psychologists, and parents to support student progress.
• Recommend and implement classroom accommodations, modifications, and adaptive equipment.
• Address areas including fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-regulation, handwriting, self-care skills, and executive functioning.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and billing records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy goals as part of students’ IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students individually and in small groups
