Job summary

ORLANDO HEALTH – HEALTH CENTRAL HOSPITAL in Ocoee, FL seeks an Occupational Therapist to support patients across a comprehensive care continuum. The role focuses on assessing needs, developing treatment plans, promoting daily living skills, and collaborating with the care team for optimal outcomes.

Weekend staffing is used to supplement coverage. Applicants should hold a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy, a Florida OT license (temporary permits acceptable) and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an approved program in occupational therapy.
• Current Florida OT license; BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Experience with upper extremity ortho, neuro and splinting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and gathers data from patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings, family and other data sources.
• Develops treatment plans which integrate with the continuum of care and have specific goals.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to treat and provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned caseload.
• Demonstrates the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs.
• Maintains accurate billing and ensures compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Participates in Performance Improvement, program development, safety and infection control, as required.
