The Utah State Hospital is seeking a dedicated OT to join our team in Provo, Utah. This is an incredible opportunity to work with a diverse patient population within our forensic and adult psychiatric programs, helping individuals develop the skills they need for a more independent and stable life.

Shift: Monday through Friday – no weekends required.

FT / PT Status: Full‑Time
Salary: $29.12 - $43.73 hourly

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient needs and administer therapy to preserve and improve abilities for independent function, such as behavioral management skills, social skills, and activities of daily living, with intermittent focus on range of motion, strength, activity tolerance, coordination and mobility.
  • Effectively document and communicate patient progress and response to treatment. Work closely with a multidisciplinary care team of psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, social workers, and others to ensure optimal patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist.
Preferred Qualifications
  • The ability to assess for and treat physical, cognitive, or social limitations.
  • Experience in group treatment protocols and evidence‑supported practice.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Willingness and self‑motivation to learn and establish essential competencies.
