SunnyDays Therapy Inc. in Monticello, MN, seeks a temporary Occupational Therapist to cover a leave of absence from August 2026 through January 2027.

The role focuses on pediatric therapy, helping children develop functional independence through play, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM. Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and MN OT license (or in process).

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric Occupational therapy to help children achieve milestones, independence and confidence in their play and self-help skills.
• Prepare for and conduct screenings for potential new clients and provide recommendations.
• Prepare for and conduct evaluations using appropriate assessments and share findings with parents and physicians.
• Create individualized treatment plans and goals with necessary diagnostic and development information.
• Provide 1:1 therapy services using client-specific intervention methods and document progress.
• Partner with parents/caregivers in plan of care and home care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to ensure aligned plan of care.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and on time per insurance requirements.

Schedule:

Full-time from August 2026 - January 2027 to cover a leave of absence. We will work with you to determine a schedule that meets your needs and the needs of your clients! We treat clients Monday through Friday from 8 AM – 6 PM.

Occupational Therapist Position Summary:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will help children live life to the fullest by increasing their functional independence through play. Our Occupational Therapists foster positive, engaging relationships with children and their families and are creative in their approach to care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pediatric Occupational therapy to help infants, toddlers, children and young adults achieve milestones, independence and confidence in their play, self-help, social, motor, cognitive, sensory skills.
• Prepare for and conduct screenings for potential new clients by reviewing existing information prior to screening and providing clinical recommendations for further evaluation if necessary.
• Prepare for and conduct evaluations for potential new clients using appropriate assessments, complete evaluation reports, and share findings with client’s parents or caregivers and physicians.
• Create individualized treatment plans and goals that include necessary diagnostic and development information to guide treatment.
• Provide 1:1 therapy services using client specific intervention methods to aid in achieving goals and document goal progress.
• Partner with parents or caregivers in a productive and professional manner regarding plan of care, measuring success, and home care.
• Partner with physicians and other professionals to ensure plan of care meets client needs and is collaborative with shared goals.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly, accurately, and in line with insurance requirements by due dates.

Salary and Benefits:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Minnesota Department of Health Occupational Therapy License (or in process of applying for state license)

• Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously with confidence and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist

Physical Requirements:

This role involves working with children of all ages and may require light work including but not limited to movement of treatment equipment, lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching.
