Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) at our Orangeburg, SC location. The role focuses on helping patients regain independence, improve daily living skills, and maximize quality of life through skilled therapy services.

The OT will evaluate ADLs, develop and implement treatment plans, recommend adaptive equipment, and document progress. Strong communication and collaboration with the care team are essential in a post-acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Experience in rehabilitation, SNF, home health, or post-acute care preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by the applicable credentialing organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Develop treatment plans that enhance independence and functional performance.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Address cognitive, physical, and sensory limitations impacting daily function.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and caregivers on functional strategies for success.
