Qualifications

• Degree from an Occupational Therapy Program, required.
• Current Occupational Therapy License as required by the state of practice.
• NBCOT certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the policy timeframe.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts professionally with patients/families and respects their diverse needs.
• Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, families, and coworkers to provide excellent service.
• Performs assessments across age groups and reassesses per policy.
• Supervises and delegates to assistants, aides, and students as appropriate.
• Administers therapy using physical agent modalities and equipment.
• Performs therapy interventions appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Evaluates and adjusts prosthetic/orthotic devices as needed.
• Plans and carries out individualized treatment programs to improve function and reduce pain.
• Educates patients and families; documents goals and progress.
