Job summary

Avant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Trenton, NJ is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our team of health professionals in providing compassionate care for residents.

The ideal candidate will conduct assessments, develop and follow treatment plans, advise on adaptive equipment, and help clients regain daily living skills, while staying current with best practices. Experience in long-term care is preferred; licensure and NBC certification are required or expected.

Qualifications

• A degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Certified by the National Board for Certification.
• Experience in Long-term-care preferred.
• Must be able to work in Trenton NJ.
• Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical and psychological assessments of clients and develop or follow a treatment plan.
• Advise on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
• Develop physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
• Evaluate results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
• Maintain professional knowledge and the technical progress to provide the best treatment program.
• Evaluate patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health.
