Job summary

ProCare Therapy is hiring a school-based Occupational Therapist to support student success in a district near White Rock, NM. This contract role offers full-time and part-time options and is strictly onsite, collaborating with educators and families to help children thrive in the school setting.

You will manage a workable caseload, conduct screenings and assessments, and develop IEP goals while traveling between district schools and building relationships with the community.

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapy license for the state of New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one.
• Prior experience in school-based settings preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of best practices for delivering OT in educational environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop IEP goals.
• Provide direct therapy to students onsite in schools within the district.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create supportive plans.
• Travel between school sites as needed with a relatively small caseload.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district requirements.
