Job summary

Mercy seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide evaluation, planning, and implementation of medically prescribed occupational therapy programs. The Occupational Therapist practices within the scope of the Missouri Occupational Therapy Practice Act and complies with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapy license in the hiring state or eligibility for licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to develop individualized treatment plans based on medical history and functional status.
• Establish measurable goals and implement effective treatment strategies to maximize outcomes.
• Prioritize evaluations and interventions to optimize progress and goal achievement.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response and evolving needs.
• Deliver patient care with professional ethics, confidentiality, and compassion.
• Communicate clearly with physicians, the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement, program development, and staff education.
