Job summary

Edisto Post-Acute in Orangeburg, SC is seeking a dedicated Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and provide one-on-one therapy to promote independence and quality of life. Collaboration with nurses, physicians, and families is essential to coordinate care.

You will deliver skilled OT services, document progress, and educate residents and caregivers while maintaining high standards of clinical documentation and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current OT license in the state of South Carolina.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous skilled nursing/rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services based on residents’ needs and goals.
• Help residents improve strength, coordination, mobility, and independence with daily activities.
• Provide training and education to residents, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor and document residents’ progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in care planning and communicate recommendations regarding resident progress.
• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care.
