Job summary

CHI St. Vincent Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence across orthopedic, neurological, sensory, and cancer recovery areas.

You will assess patients, develop and execute a care plan, and collaborate with physicians, PTs, and speech therapists to document progress and update treatment plans. The role emphasizes organization, adaptability, and a positive, motivating approach to support patients through often challenging rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications

• Degree from certified University for Occupational Therapy.
• Occupational Therapist: AR, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days.
• Six-month internship as part of the Occupational Therapy School program; leadership to act as area supervisor or weekend supervisor, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new patients with the care team and recommend a plan of care.
• Provide treatments to increase ROM, strength and balance during daily activities.
• Recommend and customize adaptive equipment as needed.
• Perform re-evaluation assessments to update progress and status changes.
• Document all evaluations, treatments, and changes to the treatment plan.
• Seek help when needed and provide mentorship or guidance to others.
• Maintain a friendly and upbeat attitude to motivate patients to improve.
