Job summary

The OT will carry out evaluations, determine diagnoses, develop plans of care, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support patient care and discharge planning. Licensure and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Occupational Therapy (Required).
• Master's Degree, Occupational Therapy (Required) or
• Doctoral Degree, Occupational Therapy (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations, determines OT diagnoses, develops plan of care, and performs occupational therapy procedures to aid in restoring function, improve mobility, relieve pain, improve health, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.
• Evaluates and assesses the patient timely, based on guidelines, evidence-based guidelines and regulatory standards; documents progress for evaluation, billing and reporting.
• Advises on adaptive equipment to help patients with daily activities.
• Builds collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care; participates in team meetings.
• Assists and participates in training and support of team members, volunteers and students.
• Follows and carries out the treatment plan; modifies to maximize therapeutic benefit and meet discharge criteria.
