Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy required
• 1 year Occupational Therapy experience preferred
• Licensure as Occupational Therapist in Virginia required upon hire
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days required
• NBCOT certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations; determines OT diagnoses and develops plan of care
• Performs OT procedures to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain
• Assesses and documents progress for evaluation, billing and reporting
• Advises on adaptive equipment to help patients with daily activities
• Builds collaborative relationships with a multidisciplinary team
• Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings as assigned
• Assists and participates in training of team members, volunteers and students
• Follows and carries out the treatment plan
• Modifies plans to maximize therapeutic benefit and meet discharge criteria
• Updates plan of care based on testing results and evidence-based guidelines
• Utilizes test results to inform ongoing care plans
• Maintains compliance with state and accrediting bodies
