Position Highlights:



  • Provides and documents the full range of occupational therapy treatments and tests for all patient demographics

  • Will work within a dynamic team including PTs, PTAs, OTs, OTAs, and SLPs

  • Specify which definitive therapy assessment procedures are indicated.

  • Conduct definitive therapy testing and interpret patient data.

  • Perform treatment design planning and modification.

  • Design and document therapy plan of care. Modify therapy goals or plans when required.

  • Evaluate, interpret and respond to changes in physiological state.

  • Evaluate and implement treatments.

  • Design and manage therapeutic program based on department standards.

  • Utilize all appropriate equipment per department protocols and standards.

  • Fabricate splints and instruct patients on use, wear and care.

  • Utilize knowledge and skills required to perform process involved in the delivery of age-appropriate patient care.

  • Communicates effectively with patient and caregivers.

  • Provide and document specific training related to patient's dysfunction.

  • Provide clinical instruction to affiliating Occupational Therapy and Occupational Therapist Assistant Students.

  • Enhance professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars.

Required Qualifications:



  • Doctorate, Master or Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited or approved by American Occupational Therapy Association ability to obtain within 180 days of hire

  • Current certificate from the national board of certification in occupational therapy (NBCOT)

  • Licensure in Commonwealth of Massachusetts or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire

  • CPR Certified



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Proven excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

  • EPIC training



The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
