Position Highlights

• Provides and documents the full range of occupational therapy treatments and tests for all patient demographics.
• Will work within a dynamic team including PTs, PTAs, OTs, OTAs, and SLPs.
• Specify which definitive therapy assessment procedures are indicated.
• Conduct definitive therapy testing and interpret patient data.
• Perform treatment design planning and modification.
• Design and document therapy plan of care. Modify therapy goals or plans when required.
• Evaluate, interpret and respond to changes in physiological state.
• Evaluate and implement treatments.
• Design and manage therapeutic program based on department standards.
• Utilize all appropriate equipment per department protocols and standards.
• Fabricate splints and instruct patients on use, wear and care.
• Utilize knowledge and skills required to perform process involved in the delivery of age-appropriate patient care.
• Communicates effectively with patient and caregivers.
• Provide and document specific training related to patient’s dysfunction.
• Provide clinical instruction to affiliating Occupational Therapy and Occupational Therapist Assistant Students.
• Enhance professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars.
