Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – Janesville is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and psychosocial deficits.

The role involves planning, implementing, and adjusting therapy plans with patients and families to support safe discharge and functional independence. Requirements include OT degree (Bachelor/Master/Doctorate) and licensure in the state, plus Basic Life Support (BLS HCP) within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy, or related area as required to obtain licensure in state of practice

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s ability to safely perform independent living skills and designs the plan of care including type and frequency of treatment
• Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities and documents patient progress
• Educates patient and family about deficits and discharge planning and provides information on adaptive equipment and support programs
• Oversees care provided by designated individuals according to regulations and standards
• Performs duties with alertness and safety as a priority
