Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation seeks an Occupational Therapist I to assess and treat patients in a hospital setting. You will plan and execute individualized OT treatment programs under Michigan licensure, maintain progress notes, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve functional outcomes.

The role emphasizes ongoing education, evidence-based practice, and participation in program development within the Mary Free Bed system.

Qualifications

Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Licensure is required in every US State and Territory the Therapist is practicing.
Possesses and maintains BLS certification to meet department/program protocol.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care within the scope of license and regulations.
Evaluate patient condition and establish treatment goals with patient and family and interdisciplinary team.
Re-evaluate patient status and adjust treatment plan as needed; document progress.
Instruct patient and family in OT procedures and provide written instructions.
Communicate with the interdisciplinary team to integrate OT treatment with overall care.
Participate in program meetings and contribute to quality improvement and program development.
