Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Alabama (per the posting) and certified by the American Board of Certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine current physical and functional status and potential benefit from Occupational Therapy.
• Plan therapy programs for in-patients, out-patients and extended care center patients, including stress management.
• Evaluate, record, and report patient progress to the rehabilitation team.
• Prepare and fit splints for functional upper and lower extremities as ordered.
• Requisition supplies and equipment; ensure safety of the department.
• Provide a safe Occupational Therapy Department and economical use of hospital resources.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
