Job summary

Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is assisting a reputable North Carolina healthcare facility in recruiting an Occupational Therapist. The OT will evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to help patients regain daily functioning and independence.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and applying therapeutic techniques while collaborating with physicians and nurses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility.
• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their functional abilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, exercises, and equipment to improve patients' physical and cognitive abilities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients.
• Educate patients and their families on techniques and strategies to improve daily functioning and prevent further disability.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes.
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Stay current with industry developments and best practices in occupational therapy.
