Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OT evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities used in OT.
• Knowledge of prosthetic/orthotic devices and assistive devices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare terminology.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Aids in restoration and enhancement of independent function for patients.
• Evaluates and treats patients and documents services in medical records.
• Coordinates with families, physicians and health team members.
• Supervise Certified OT Assistants and aides in patient care per facility policy.
• Develops treatment plans and obtains physician approvals.
• Documents treatment notes, charges, progress, and discharge summaries.
