Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages in a full-time or part-time role. A sign-on bonus is available for both <1 year and >1 year of experience, with a relocation bonus for candidates living more than 50 miles away.

The role requires an Illinois OT license and BLS within 30 days. You will develop care plans, educate patients and families, perform assessments, and collaborate with staff to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in Illinois
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Performs patient transfers with assistance as needed and maintains safe body mechanics.
• Designs and implements plan of care with goals, treatment, outcomes and discharge plan.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and students using effective teaching methods.
• Conducts examinations using reliable methods relevant to chief complaint and history.
• Screens patients to determine the need for further therapy services.
• Coordinates with support personnel and provides regular feedback on care.
• Documents evaluations, plans of care, and patient responses to treatment.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine diagnoses and outcomes.
• Completes annual education as assigned for required programs.
• Evaluates upper extremity impairments and plans care based on deficits and goals.
