Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation in Olympia Fields, IL is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in a full-time capacity. The role focuses on adult and geriatric rehabilitation, performing assessments, planning interventions, and coordinating with the care team to drive quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
• Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred, but not required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for care of patients treated by OTs, assistants and students.
• Assesses patients’ needs and initiates occupational therapy interventions; works with the patient team.
• Observes and evaluates treatment progress and recommends changes to physicians as needed.
• Performs assessments and reassessments; maintains QI scoring; focuses on adult and geriatric rehab.
• Assess pain and intervene to optimize function and coordinate physician contact when needed.
