Job summary

Peachtree Orthopedics in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to administer medically necessary therapy as prescribed by physicians for patients with neuromuscular or musculoskeletal disorders.

You will evaluate patients, set goals, develop and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families to support continuity of care and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an AOTA-accredited program.
• One year of experience as an Occupational Therapist preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic terminology, basic billing and clinical functions, and medical administrative practices.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, examine, evaluate, and identify physical capabilities and disabilities.
• Develop therapeutic goals, objectives, and treatment plans.
• Use therapeutic techniques and exercise; monitor and chart progress.
• Participate in medical therapy conferences.
• Evaluate, order, and maintain equipment related to therapy.
• Maintain medical charts.
• Fabricate and maintain adaptive therapy equipment and devices.
• Assist physicians in evaluating patients via ability tests.
• Provide guidance to parents/relatives on home treatment continuation.
• Other duties as assigned.
