Job summary

Peachtree Orthopedics in Cumming, GA seeks a qualified Physical Therapist to provide medically necessary physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians for patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders. The role reports to the Therapy Clinic Manager within the Physical and Occupational Therapy department.

The position involves evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, documenting progress, and maintaining related equipment and charts in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate Degree from a Physical Therapy program accredited by the APTA is required.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Georgia; ability to obtain Georgia Physical Therapist licensure at start of employment.
• Knowledgeable in orthopedic terminology, basic billing functions, basic clinical functions, admin practices, and medical setting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, examine, evaluate, and identify physical capabilities and disabilities.
• Develop therapeutic goals, objectives, and treatment plans.
• Use therapeutic techniques and exercise.
• Monitor and chart patient progress.
• Participate in medical therapy conferences.
• Evaluate, order, and maintain medically necessary equipment related to this discipline.
• Maintain medical charts.
• Fabricate and maintain adaptive therapy equipment and devices.
• Assist physicians in evaluating patients with various ability tests.
• Provide instruction to parents and relatives on home treatment continuation.
