Qualifications/Education:
  • NY State Occupational Therapy License
  • Bachelor's or entry-level master's degree in occupational therapy, or a post-baccalaureate certificate in occupational therapy from an institution acceptable to the Department.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a clinical setting. 1 year working with pediatric patients.
Responsibilities:
  • The position will float depending on the company's needs between patients and schools.
  • Coverage for community home visits (pediatric/adult populations) as directed.
  • Assessment of clinical status related to Occupational Therapy needs of assigned patients.
  • Development of appropriate interventions and goals based on the order and needs of patients.
  • Precept and orient new hire Occupational Therapists as assigned.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand/work for extended periods.
