Job summary

Providence Seward Medical Center in Seward, AK is seeking an Occupational Therapist. The position is primarily outpatient long term care (about 80%) with swing bed acute care (about 20%), on a full-time 1.0 FTE daytime schedule (40 hours per week).

The therapist will assess, plan, implement and evaluate OT services for inpatients, outpatients, Home Health and long-term care residents, collaborating with the care team to meet guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy required.
• Alaska OT License required upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate OT services for inpatients, outpatients, Home Health and long-term care residents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure care follows AOTA guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Provide OT services in outpatient long-term care and swing-bed acute care settings as assigned.

Job description

We are hiring for Occupational Therapist positions at Providence Seward Medical Center, a critical access hospital in Seward, AK!

The position will be responsible for mostly outpatient long term care (about 80% of the time) and swing bed acute care (about 20% of the time).

Currently available schedules: full time, 1.0 FTE, Day shift, 40 hours per week.

$5,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Assesses, plans implements, and evaluates occupational therapy services within the guidelines established by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Provides services to inpatients, outpatients, Home Health clients, long term care residents. Collaborates with other team members to plan and provide important aspects of care, in compliance with medical center standards and guidelines established by the American Occupational Therapists Association in conjunction with regulatory requirements of both federal and state agencies.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
