Job summary

Kansas Surgery & Recovery Center in Wichita is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support an expanding inpatient rehabilitation unit. You will provide comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based treatments to help patients reach their highest level of independence and function.

The role is PRN with hours varying; candidates should have hospital or medical office experience, NBCOT, Kansas license, and BLS certification to join a growing, patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Pass NBCOT examination and hold current Kansas license.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in hospital or medical office setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OT evaluations and evidence-based treatment in inpatient rehab.
• Support patients in achieving independence and function through individualized plans.
• Collaborate with the care team during launch of a new inpatient rehabilitation unit.

POSITION

Join our growing rehabilitation team as we launch a new Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based treatment services that support patients in achieving their highest level of independence and function. The successful candidate will bring rehabilitation experience, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new program while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

HOURS

This is a PRN position. Hours will vary based on staffing needs and may include weekdays and occasional weekends.

Candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of accreditation standards and compliance requirements. Preferred qualifications include at least one year of experience in a hospital or medical office setting.

EDUCATION

Applicants must be graduates of an accredited occupational therapy program. pass the NBCOT examination and have a current Kansas license. A valid BLS certification is required.
