Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and assist clients and operate in a healthcare environment using EMR.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment and Treatment: evaluate residents' functional abilities and plan care.
  • Documentation: complete timely and accurate EMR entries.
  • Supervision: provide guidance to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Professional Development: participate in or lead team development meetings.
  • Wellness Programming: lead community-wide wellness programs and events.

Vertis Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN, as-needed basis at an assisted living community in Washington, DC. Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate residents' functional abilities. Establish and execute a plan of care based on individual goals to improve resident's independence and quality of life.
  • Documentation: Complete timely and accurate documentation.
  • Supervision: Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Professional Development: Participate or lead team development meetings.
  • Wellness Programming: Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events.
Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Prefer current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
  • Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist state license or license eligibility
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills. Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
  • Technology: Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
