Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will support residents’ independence and quality of life through ADLs/IADLs and meaningful activities in a long-term care setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas OT license, SNF or LTC experience is preferred, and you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Net Health documentation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OT license in good standing.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OT treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to work on a PRN basis and collaborate with rehab team.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to evaluate their condition and impact on daily occupations.
• Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to maximize ADLs/IADLs.
• Recommend home modifications and assistive devices.
• Provide training to support independence and safety.
• Ensure treatments align with plan of care and regulations.
• Monitor response and adjust interventions with the team.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Complete documentation in a timely manner.
• Attend required rehab meetings.

Join Our Team as a (PRN) Occupational Therapist (OT)

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care focused on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapist (OT)

• Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life




• Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results




• Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques to maximize performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)




• Assess patients’ home and living environments and recommend modifications based on their needs and capabilities




• Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training to support independence and safety




• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care




• Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team




• Provide clinical education and support to patients, family members, and caregivers




• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care




• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations




• Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures




• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license




• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards




• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred




• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices




• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred




• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs




• Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills
