Job summary

Vidor Health is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will help residents improve independence and safety through ADLs and meaningful activities, with oversight from the Director of Rehab.

Texas licensure is required; SNF or long-term care experience preferred. You will document thoroughly in Net Health, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and support family education while maintaining flexible schedules.

Qualifications

  • Active Texas OT license required.
  • SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with patients to evaluate their condition and impact on daily activities.
  • Assess and interpret evaluations and test results.
  • Develop individualized OT plans to maximize ADLs/IADLs.
  • Recommend home modifications and adaptive equipment.
  • Deliver treatments per care plan and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Complete timely, compliant documentation.

Join Our Team as a (PRN) Occupational Therapist (OT)

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care focused on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.


Your Impact as an Occupational Therapist (OT)


  • Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life


  • Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results


  • Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques to maximize performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)


  • Assess patients’ home and living environments and recommend modifications based on their needs and capabilities


  • Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training to support independence and safety


  • Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care


  • Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team


  • Provide clinical education and support to patients, family members, and caregivers


  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care


  • Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations


  • Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures


  • Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab



What Makes You a Great Fit


  • Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license


  • In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards


  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred


  • Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices


  • Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred


  • Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs


  • Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills
