Vertis Therapy is seeking a compassionate PRN Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team at a beautiful independent living and memory care facility in Clarksdale, MS. You will evaluate and treat residents to help them improve their independence, safety, functional abilities, and overall quality of life.

The OT will develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled occupational therapy services, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution and state license or eligibility.
  • Proven ability to assess residents and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interdisciplinary care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents' functional abilities and establish plans of care to improve independence.
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services and monitor patient progress.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants as appropriate.
  • Participate or lead team development meetings and wellness activities.

Job description

Vertis Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team at a beautiful independent living and memory care facility in Clarksdale, MS. In this role, you will evaluate and treat residents to help them improve their independence, safety, functional abilities, and overall quality of life.

The Occupational Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled occupational therapy services, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. The OT will also provide guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate residents' functional abilities. Establish and execute a plan of care based on individual goals to improve resident's independence and quality of life.
  • Documentation: Complete timely and accurate documentation.
  • Supervision: Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Professional Development: Participate or lead team development meetings.
  • Wellness Programming: Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events.
Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Prefer current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
  • Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist state license or license eligibility
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills. Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
  • Technology: Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
