Job summary

Rush Specialty Hospital in Chicago seeks an Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient rehabilitation unit on a PRN / Per Diem basis. You will evaluate patients, develop and modify treatment plans, and collaborate with physicians to support recovery and return to daily activities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required.
• Certified BLS or completion within 90 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients to ensure functional return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with patient care, development of therapy services and program delivery.
