About the Position

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of evaluating and treating residents experiencing declines in functional tasks such as Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), transfers, and safety due to illness, injury, or disease processes. Your expertise will help develop effective treatment plans approved by referring physicians, ensuring compliance with Medicare rules and regulations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our residents, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluative and Therapeutic Excellence: You will provide top-notch Occupational Therapy evaluations and treatments, aiming to overcome specific functional losses. Your goal will be to enhance our residents' ability to perform ADLs and transfer safely, catering to both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Collaboration and Communication: As a team player, you'll effectively communicate with physicians, nursing, and other team members about residents' progress. Your role is crucial in coordinating treatment plans, reporting changes in medical status, and participating in care plan meetings and discharge planning.
  • Family and Team Education: You will play a significant role in educating families and health team members to improve outcomes and ensure effective follow-through with exercises and functional tasks. Your ability to maintain positive rapport with residents, family members, and caregivers is key.
