Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Science in Occupational Therapy is required.
  • Kansas Occupational Therapist license is required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Hand Therapy Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services for goal-directed, purposeful activity.
  • Restore, reinforce, and enhance functional performance.
  • Work under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Occupational Therapist is a key member of the rehabilitation team. The Occupational Therapist will work under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services. The Occupational Therapy position will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services for goal-directed, purposeful activity to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance; facilitate the learning of adaptive skills by individuals of all ages who have physical disabilities and related psychological impairments, deficits of self-care due to age of pathology, and/or developmental disabilities. Such therapy is designed to maximize independence, prevent further disability and maintain health.

JOB DUTIES
  • Able to work as a member of a team and also independently.
  • Understand and follow safe work practices.
  • Ensure that all Amberwell procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

    • Minimum Required Experience: no experience in Occupational Therapy
    • Preferred Experience:. 3 years experience in Occupational Therapy
  • Education
    • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s Science of Occupational Therapy
  • Licenses
    • Minimum Required Licenses: Kansas Occupational Therapist Licenses
  • Certifications
    • Minimum Required: BLS
    • Preferred Certifications: Hand Therapy Certification
