Job description

Occupational Therapist - Outpatient Pediatrics - Pool/As Needed

Location: Brookfield

Job Type: Days - 1st Shift

Weekly Hours: 4

The outpatient therapy department operates thirteen clinic locations serving all of Waukesha County, completing over 13,000 outpatient visits monthly. Clinical staff provide care for patients with orthopedic, neurologic, cardiovascular, and medical diagnoses, including pediatric rehab and cancer rehab as specialty services. The department comprises over 108 therapists providing physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Hours: Clinic hours are 7am-6:30pm Monday-Thursday, and 8am-5pm on Friday. No weekends or holidays required. Summer, holiday breaks, and after-school hours are in high demand. This role is specific to the Pediatric therapy location (Brookfield Clinic).

Full Time / Part Time: Pool/As Needed - no benefits

What You Will Do:

• Evaluate individuals referred for occupational therapy services.
• Establish prognosis and plan of treatment.
• Implement OT treatment based on evaluation results and plan of care.
• Re-assess ongoing effects of treatment.
• Collaborate with and provide consultation to other care providers.
• Supervise occupational therapy assistants and aides.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current BLS certification through AHA (or ability to obtain at hire).
• Occupational Therapist licensure through the State of WI (OTR).
• At least 1 year of occupational therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with ASD, sensory processing, feeding, complex medical, congenital conditions, and chronic diseases in children is preferred. Additional orthopedic management experience is a bonus.
