Job description

Overview
Occupational Therapist (OT) - Full Time
Westmoreland Manor | Greensburg, PA
Full-Time | Comprehensive Benefits | Experienced OTs & New Graduates Welcome
Looking for an OT position where you can make a meaningful difference—and still grow in your career?

AdvantageCare Rehabilitation is hiring a Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT/OTR) to join our rehabilitation team at Westmoreland Manor in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

Whether you're a seasoned Occupational Therapist with years of experience or a new graduate ready to begin your career, we're interested in what you can bring to the team.

At Westmoreland Manor, you'll have the opportunity to work with an adult and geriatric population, develop meaningful relationships with your patients, and help people regain the skills they need to participate more independently in everyday life.

For an experienced OT, it's an opportunity to bring your knowledge and clinical judgment to a team that values it.

For a new graduate, it's a place to build your skills, gain hands-on experience, and grow alongside other rehabilitation professionals.

Why Occupational Therapists Choose AdvantageCare

AdvantageCare Rehabilitation has been providing rehabilitation services for more than 23 years, and we're proud to be therapist-founded and therapist-led.

That matters because rehabilitation isn't simply one part of our business.

Therapy is what we do.

We understand that great therapists need more than a schedule of patients. They need clinical autonomy, supportive leadership, collaboration, professional development, and the opportunity to actually see the impact of their work.

What You Can Expect

Clinical autonomy. Your education and clinical judgment matter. We want our therapists thinking clinically, identifying what their patients need, and developing meaningful plans of care.

A consistent full-time position. Become an established member of the Westmoreland Manor rehab team and build relationships with your patients and coworkers.

Interdisciplinary collaboration. Work alongside COTAs, PTs, PTAs, SLPs, nursing and other members of the care team.

A broad clinical experience. Work with individuals with varying functional, cognitive and medical needs, allowing you to use—and continue developing—a wide range of OT skills.

Professional growth. Take advantage of continuing education resources and opportunities to grow clinically or explore leadership as your career develops.

A therapist-led organization. Our clinical leaders understand rehabilitation because many have been on the treatment side themselves.

What Will You Do as an Occupational Therapist?

As an Occupational Therapist at Westmoreland Manor, you'll evaluate each person's individual abilities and challenges and develop treatment plans focused on helping them achieve greater safety, function and independence.

Your role may include:

  • Performing comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations
  • Developing individualized plans of care and functional goals
  • Addressing activities of daily living (ADLs) including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting and self-care
  • Improving upper-extremity strength, coordination, range of motion and functional use
  • Addressing balance, endurance and functional mobility as they relate to everyday activities
  • Providing therapeutic exercise and functional activities
  • Evaluating and training patients in adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies
  • Addressing safety awareness and fall-prevention strategies
  • Educating patients, families and caregivers
  • Supervising and collaborating with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
  • Working closely with PT, SLP, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as clinically appropriate
  • Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation

The goal isn't simply completing a treatment session.

It's helping someone regain the ability to dress themselves, get to the bathroom safely, participate in a favorite activity, return home, or do more for themselves than they could yesterday.

That's Occupational Therapy.

Why Westmoreland Manor?

Westmoreland Manor provides a setting where Occupational Therapists can work with adults and older adults with a variety of rehabilitation and functional needs.

Patients may be recovering following hospitalization, illness, surgery, injury, weakness, falls or functional decline, while others may require longer-term support to maintain or maximize their independence.

For an OT, that creates opportunities to work on much more than strength and exercise.

You’ll be addressing the things that directly affect someone's ability to participate in everyday life—self-care, safety, cognition, upper-extremity function, adaptive strategies, functional mobility and independence.

And because this is a full-time position, you’ll have the opportunity to follow your patients’ progress and become a consistent member of their rehabilitation team.

Experienced OT? Your Expertise Has Value Here.

If you’ve been practicing Occupational Therapy for years, you bring something that can’t be taught in a textbook: experience.

You’ve seen complicated cases. You’ve learned how to adjust when the original plan isn’t working. You know how to communicate with families and interdisciplinary teams, and you’ve developed the clinical instincts that come from years of treating patients.

We value that.

Bring your experience, your ideas and your clinical perspective to a team where you can continue making an impact.

New Graduate OT? Start Your Career Somewhere You Can Grow.

Just finishing OT school?

You don’t need years of experience to apply.

Your first Occupational Therapy position should give you the opportunity to turn what you learned in school and fieldwork into clinical confidence.

A skilled rehabilitation environment can provide exposure to a broad patient population and help you strengthen your skills in evaluation, treatment planning, ADLs, functional mobility, interdisciplinary communication and clinical decision-making.

We’re looking for new graduates who are curious, compassionate, willing to learn, and excited to become strong clinicians.

What We’re Looking For
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current or eligible Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound clinical judgment and a patient‑first approach
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with COTAs and the interdisciplinary team
  • Skilled nursing, geriatric or rehabilitation experience is a plus, but not required
  • Experienced OTs and new graduates are encouraged to apply
