East Bay Post Acute in Castro Valley, California is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. Requires compassionate, resident-centered care and ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to promote independence and functional recovery.

We offer mentorship, professional development, and flexible opportunities including full-time, part-time, and PRN. Competitive hourly compensation starting at $52–$58 per hour based on experience (DOE).

Qualifications

• Current and active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans designed to promote independence and functional recovery.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions focused on ADLs, mobility, safety, and quality of life.
• Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
• Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care planning meetings, utilization reviews, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment strategies, home safety, and adaptive equipment.
• Provide caregiver training and support successful transitions to home or the next level of care.
