Job summary

Luxor Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OTR) to deliver therapeutic activities and self-care strategies designed to improve patient function. The role involves monitoring patient progress, contributing to care plans, and documenting weekly updates in medical records.

Applicants must be a registered OT with NBCOT certification and a valid state license where applicable, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered occupational therapist (OTR).
• NBCOT certification and state license required (where applicable).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients using therapeutic and self-care activities to improve function.
• Monitor a patient’s activities to ensure correct performance and provide encouragement.
• Contribute to meetings and case conferences for coordinated care plans.
• Document patient progress in records on a weekly basis.
• Maintain office treatment areas, equipment, and supply inventory.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function
• Monitor a patient's activities to make sure they are performing them correctly and to offer encouragement
• Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for patients
• Document patient’s weekly progress in appropriate records
• Maintain the office treatment areas, equipment, and supply inventory
• Instruct patients, their families and any other caregivers in skills and techniques of the patient's treatment program
• Maintain valid certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and a valid Occupational Therapist state license (where applicable).
