Job summary

Covelo Group is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a school-based role in Tacoma, WA. Earn up to $55/hr with a Monday–Friday schedule serving K–12 students.

You'll provide evaluations, direct therapy, and IEP-based services across campuses as needed, collaborating with teachers, families, and school staff to support participation and independence in daily classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Washington State Occupational Therapist license.
• NBCOT certification.
• Ability to complete required school and district clearances.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services based on each student’s IEP.
• Evaluate students’ functional abilities, development, and progress.
• Develop individualized therapy goals and intervention plans.
• Help students improve fine motor, gross motor, sensory-processing, visual-motor, and self-care skills.
• Provide direct therapy in individual or small-group settings and recommend strategies and adaptive equipment.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goals.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other service providers.
• Maintain accurate treatment notes, progress reports, and required documentation.
• Travel between school campuses when required.

Up to $55/hr | Monday–Friday | K–12 School Setting

Looking for an Occupational Therapist job in Tacoma, WA with a consistent weekday schedule? Join a local school program where you’ll help K–12 students build the skills they need to participate more fully in the classroom and throughout the school day.

We’re hiring a school-based Occupational Therapist to provide evaluations, direct therapy, and IEP‑based services. You may support students at one or more campuses within the district, depending on caseload needs.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Current Washington State Occupational Therapist license
• NBCOT certification
• Ability to complete required school and district clearances
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary school team
• Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience is preferred but not required
