Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services in Vancouver, WA is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to support home and community rehabilitation. The OT will perform evaluations, develop and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote independence and safety for clients in their natural environments.

Qualified candidates hold a OT degree, an active state license, CPR certification, and at least one year of OT experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted OT license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of OT experience.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for neurological conditions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatments and participate in staffing/family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and provide home/community safety recommendations.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team and family members.
• Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, and LCSWs to optimize patient outcomes.

What You'll Do:

• Provide functional OT in natural environments
• Support returntowork, returntodriving, and daily life skills
• Work collaboratively with PTs, SLPs, and LCSWs

Responsibilities

What you will do:

Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
• Communicate patient's needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
• Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university with an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist by state in which practicing
• Current CPR Certification
• A minimum of one year's work experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferred
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interaction
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
