MedCare Pediatric is hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to deliver one-on-one therapy to children, with flexible options for clinic, home health, or hybrid work. You’ll assess, treat, and coach families, emphasizing individualized plans and measurable progress.

The role supports new graduates, welcomes full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules, and offers comprehensive benefits including PTO, holidays, insurance, 401(k), and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited OT program.
• Current Texas OT license (or eligible before start date).
• Pediatric OT experience preferred.
• One year of experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
• Passion for helping children achieve developmental milestones.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pediatric OT evaluations and develop individualized plans.
• Provide evidence-based OT interventions to improve fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, balance, strength, ROM, and ADLs.
• Educate/train parents and caregivers on home programs and strategies.
• Collaborate with COTAs, SLPs, PTs, nurses, physicians, and other professionals.
• Supervise COTAs when applicable.
• Complete timely documentation and ensure compliance with state and company standards.
• Build strong relationships with patients and families through one-on-one care.

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve:
  • Fine motor and gross motor skills
  • Sensory processing
  • Coordination and balance
  • Strength and range of motion
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Functional independence
  • Educate and train parents and caregivers on home programs and therapeutic strategies.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, family-centered care.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) when applicable.
  • Complete timely documentation while maintaining compliance with state and company standards.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with patients and families through compassionate, one-on-one care.
