Job summary

Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for Acute Care Rehabilitation Services. This PRN, non‑exempt position involves evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering therapy, and documenting care.

You will join an inpatient team, collaborate with other disciplines, and help patients regain independence. Current OT license and BLS required, with a minimum of 2 shifts per month and at least one weekend/holiday shift per year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current state license to practice occupational therapy.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and educate patients and caregivers.
• Document accurately and timely, ensure regulatory compliance.

How You’ll Contribute

The Occupational Therapist evaluates patient needs and develops individualized treatment plans to support the performance of daily activities and promote functional independence. This role provides therapeutic interventions, collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams, and educates patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment. The OT ensures accurate and timely documentation, maintains compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered rehabilitative care in alignment with organizational expectations.
