Evolve Therapy Services, a therapy management organization, is looking for an Occupational Therapist for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility in Oakdale, NY. This Weekend PRN role offers flexibility and meaningful patient care.

The successful candidate will plan, organize, and direct OT services, screen residents, develop treatment plans, supervise COTA, and ensure accurate documentation and billing to support high-quality resident care and compliance with federal and state guidelines.

Qualificações

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active OT license in practicing state(s).
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure.

Responsabilidades

• Screen residents to determine best intervention.
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; set short- and long-term goals.
• Communicate findings, plans, and recommendations to residents, families, and the team.
• Establish resident therapy schedules with team members.
• Document and bill OT services in line with plans.
• Perform duties to effectively treat patients.
• Oversee COTA and ensure documentation and treatments meet standards.

Job Position

Occupational Therapist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type

Weekend PRN

Job Purpose

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s)
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
