Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services in Key West, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility to plan, organize, develop, and direct therapy services.

You will screen residents, develop treatment plans with goals, coordinate with families and the interdisciplinary team, and oversee COTA as needed.

Active OT license, degree in OT, and commitment to ongoing professional development are required; full-time, part-time, or PRN scheduling options are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Must have an Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s).
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention or treatment.
• Evaluate residents and develop treatment plans with short- and long-term goals.
• Interpret and communicate results to residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Establish resident therapy schedules with team members.
• Provide therapy per plan and ensure proper documentation and billing.
• Perform all duties to effectively treat patients and supervise COTA as needed.

Job Position:

Occupational Therapist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type:

Full Time (Salaried or Flexible Scheduling/4x10s available), Part Time, or PRN

Job Purpose:

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s)
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
